Living culture in South Tyrol
South Tyrol is mostly known for it’s mountains, but also it’s deeply rooted tradition, a mix of Austrian and Italian culture, fascinates visitors. In the past few years, several museums and cultural institutions have been inaugurated. The Nature Park Museum Puez-Odle is within walking distance from the Hotel Tyrol, you can meet the Iceman Ötzi in Bolzano and Reinhold Messsner’s Mountain Museums are situated in different towns and valleys of South Tyrol. The old town centres of Chiusa and Bressanone are beautiful and the monasteries Neustift or Säben are worth a visit.

The newls opened museum Centro Visite Puez-Odle is the youngest of the 7 museums dedicated to the nature parks in Southtyrol. Il has been opened in 2009 and is woth a visit. It is withing walking distance from the hotel.

Brixen
The Baroque town of Brixen is the oldest town in Tyrol and has been a bishop’s seat since 901, it combines history and a modern Lifestyle and is woth a visit. It is only 20 km from the hotel.

Mineralological Museum
In the small village Tiso right at the entrance of the Val di Funes, you will find a museum dedictated to minerals and the local Teiser Kigel.
