The Dolomites - UNESCO World Natural Heritage
The Puez-Odle Nature Park is a very special place for nature lovers. It offers many hiking trails, vie ferrate, high peaks and protected flower fields, but what makes the nature park so unique, are the openly displayed rocksand layers, which show the evolution of the Dolomites.
In 2009 the Dolomites and therefore the Puez-Odle Pature Park have been added to the UNESCO world heritage site list. From the Hotel Tyrol you have a wonderful view of the Dolomite peaks and within walking distance is the recently opened museum dedicated to the Puez-Odle Nature Park.
The Adolf Munkel Trail
The Adolf Munkel Trail beneath the majestic Odle/Geisler mountain group, home to mountain climber Reinhold Messner, is one of the most spectacular trails in the Dolomites. A colourful array of plants is only one of the many reasons why.
